Lucinda was a distinguished and decorated career police officer until 2015, rising to Deputy Commissioner with Victoria Police.

She was the Deputy Commissioner of Regional Operations, responsible for the four Regions, State Emergencies & Security Command, Transit & Public Safety Command and the new Family Violence Command.  In this role, Lucinda’s focus was on reforming and continually improving the effectiveness of police service delivery.

Prior to this, she was the Deputy Commissioner, Strategy, a role in which she developed and led major organisational changes, including the recruitment and deployment of 1700 additional police officers and 940 protective services officers; improved planning, risk management and governance; enhanced leadership and management development programs; and the launch of key strategies such as the Enhanced Family Violence Model.

Lucinda left policing to become the CEO of Victoria’s Country Fire Authority, resigning from that position in June 2016.

Lucinda recently successfully completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. In 2009 she was awarded the Australian Police Medal for distinguished service to policing.
