Penington Institute is pleased to present a webinar looking at the relationship between public health and the legalisation and regulation of cannabis for social use.
In this webinar we will explore the health implications of recreational cannabis use; the risks and benefits of regulating access to cannabis for non-medical purposes; and the lessons Australia can learn from overseas.
We will be joined by an esteemed guest panel for a vibrant discussion around this topic including: Associate Professor Shalini Arunogiri, Clinical Director at Turning Point, Melbourne; Dr Paul Henderson, consultant psychiatrist; and Dr Mark A. Ware, Associate Professor and Alan Edwards Chair in Clinical Pain, McGill University, Montreal.
The session will be facilitated by Penington Institute’s Global Partnership and Engagement Advisor, Rhys Cohen.
This webinar is part of our Global Perspectives on Australia’s Cannabis Future series, where we ask leading experts to share their cannabis policy insights from Australia and around the globe. Using real world examples and hard evidence, we will tackle the big questions as we consider an Australian policy model for legal, regulated cannabis use.
