Safer Using Series – Cutting Down, Getting Off

This is a thumbnail for the Safer Using Series - Cutting Down, Getting Off.

Resource Type

Last Updated

This resource is part of the Safer Using Series and provides information on cutting down drug use and contacts for further support.

The Safer Using Series is the NSP Handbook’s companion resource. This is a set of brochures on topics such as injecting, hepatitis C, keeping healthy, and drug use and the law.

There are things you can do that will help if you want to make changes to your drug use. If you want to cut down, stop for a while or altogether, or gain more control. Making changes to your drug use can take time. It can take a few attempts and might mean trying different things until you find what’s right for you. Don’t be too hard on yourself if things don’t work out the first time.
