Sian joined Penington Institute in March 2022 as the Director of Strategic Communications. She is a multifaceted communications professional with experience spanning across the not-for-profit, academic, and corporate sectors.

Sian has a particular interest in the translation and communication of research into evidence-based policy and practice change. Her commitment to social equity was reinforced during her time working in international development, both in Australia and internationally.

Sian holds a Bachelor of Mass Communication from Queensland University of Technology and a Master of International Development Practice from Monash University. She is currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, also at Monash University.
