Scott Wilson is Director of ADAC, the Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council (South Australia).
His other leadership roles include being Deputy Chair of both the National Indigenous Drug and Alcohol Committee and the Alcohol Education Rehabilitation Foundation.
Scott’s personal and professional experience in substance misuse has made him a valued member of nearly every major governmental and non-governmental committee in Australia for more than 20 years.
Scott has found that mainstream health organisations tend to assume that Indigenous organisations will address the problems faced by Indigenous people who use drugs.
In fact, this group of people just fall through the gaps. The Penington Institute’s focus in future is about ensuring that the most vulnerable people, including Indigenous drug users and their families, won’t be left behind."
Penington Institute offers several regular e-newsletters, publications
and online forums to help keep you up to date.
