Director of Industry Development
Heather has held senior leadership positions across drug treatment and health sectors for more than three decades. Her career includes managing withdrawal services at Monash Health, establishing the Hospital Liaison Team in Acute Services (now known as Addiction Medicine), and overseeing the formation of the Primary Health Care Clinics focused on addressing drug harm and supporting the needs of people who inject drugs.
Heather established the Nurses and Midwives Health Program Victoria and served as its inaugural CEO before later joining the Board. She led the Self-Help Addiction Resource Centre (SHARC) as CEO for 15 years and later established the National Nurse and Midwife Health Service as its inaugural CEO. She is currently a board member of Grampians Health.
Heather brings her work a strong commitment to workforce health and wellbeing, community collaboration and partnership, striving to advance equity in access to health care.
Heather is a Registered Nurse and holds postgraduate qualifications in Addiction Studies and Organisational Management and has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
