Our Board Members
Gwen Boniface served 30 years in law enforcement in Canada, including as Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police. Trained as a lawyer, she continued her work in a variety of security sector roles in Ireland, the United Nations Peacekeeping Division and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
She currently serves as the Chair of the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime.
Gwen joined the Penington Institute Board in 2025.
Jurisdictions everywhere are challenged by problems associated with drug use and the harms it inflicts on individuals and communities. Responses must rely on evidence-based solutions.
